Summary
CIPHERNAUT collects no personal data. It has no accounts, forms or database and uses no cookies.
What stays on your device
Message history, favourite ciphers, training progress and settings are stored only in your browser storage (localStorage). They never leave the device and you can delete them in the app or by clearing browser data.
Microphone and camera
The microphone (Morse receiver) and camera (flashlight) start only when you ask. No audio or video is recorded, sent anywhere or processed off the device. You can revoke access at any time in your browser settings.
Puzzle links
The message in a puzzle link is stored in the part of the address after the # sign, which browsers do not send to the server. Anyone who receives the link can see the message - do not share anything sensitive this way.
Visit statistics
We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics for anonymous visit statistics. It uses no cookies, does not track individuals and does not store IP addresses. Hosting is provided by Cloudflare, which processes the technical data needed to deliver the page.
